Just some last minute instruction regarding the use of the Extraordinary workbook.
We will be preaching from the 'Extraordinary' Source book by John Bevere - this will be a summary of the main points, scriptures & themes of the individual chapters (As each chapter is quite comprehensive we will need to condense and fit this into our 30 min presentations)
The workbook follows a similar format, but takes material from the source book in a summary fashion. He has also added questions and points to ponder, as is the usual with workbooks adapted from 'novel' style material.
You are not required to do all the material in the workbook chapters as you will not be able to fit this into a 25 min guided discussion. Here are my tips on best utilization of the work book
- Have it with you when the Sunday message is being preached - take your own notes and highlight thoughts, themes & scriptures that resonate with you.
- Read through the workbook chapter before the small group week and select what sections / questions you are going to use
- Review your notes from the Sunday sessions and add whatever thoughts you think are the most important to capture
- Encourage your group participants to do the same and when you come together - you can have a great 25min guided discussion before fellowship time.
Any problems call / speak to me when I'm back from holidays or Contact Cale Begley or Greg George who will be covering for me while we are away.
Ps Rhett.
